HEAR YE- HEAR YE

Update on "Freedom County"

With all the problems and aggravations that have encumbered this project we have learned and survived even the infiltration of our own groups. The land we found near Bronte was good, it would have served our purpose very well and someone ? decided to find the place for what ever purpose they deemed suitable. Either to prove we were a scam or to disrupt the project. I cannot imagine taking the time and effort to locate the owner of this property but they did and informed him that he was harboring a group of dissidents who would cause the area a lot of problems. That land deal fell through not because the owner didn't want dissidents in his area but he felt he now had leverage to raise the price of the land and make a killing on our needs.

That didn't work ! I will not be blackmailed over such a petty scam to disrupt this project. We dropped that like a hot rock. There is no way you can trust people with $$$ as their morality and reason for living.

We traveled to another piece we had previously looked at quickly and spent time there to see if it was something we could make work. Actually making it work is a bad term. This place is as near perfect as far as the land itself and the surrounding area as we have found anywhere. The water is plentiful at about 200 feet which is a easy well drill. The land is good, producing excellent hay and grass, which means it will support a garden also. The trees are full grown and lush. Many different varieties including pecan, pine, oaks ( several varieties) and one persimmon tree with fruit on it that I saw. Olive trees can be started there with no problem as can most varieties of fruit trees.

There are no hunting leased land surrounding the area so there won't be a chance of a stray bullet hitting someone. The surrounding area is all in large ranches which are working ranches meaning there is life and prosperity available.

The town is totally nondescript: mostly abandoned down town but it has a strip of buildings which are left over from the last century it looks like. Beautiful little store fronts just waiting to be renewed and opened up. It does have a superette market, gas stations, and one red light. The folks there are mostly employed by the surrounding ranches and frankly have that live and let live mentality.

A larger town is 20 miles away that sports a Wallmart as well as most of the stores we will all need to shop in.

Bobby was so excited about the new land as seen below:

There are no structures on the land nor a well but we plan on drilling starting as soon as the well driller can get out there. We will drill several wells to make sure we get a good quality of water and then know the depth to drill the remaining ones more or less.

The main building will be one of the prefab metal buildings which hopefully the people who move out first will jump in and insulate and finish the interior so our kitchen and bathing facilities will be ready for the others coming in later.

After talking to the county we found that we do have to have a perk test which is not a problem but the kicker is: once the perk test is done that is all the inspecting that will be done. No one in the county comes out to inspect or check that a septic system has even been installed? That is the regulation. There are no county inspectors for buildings or sanitation which means we are more or less free to build what ever we want within reason. I do want to impress on all of you that we need to keep the area pretty, not a junk yard or a group of shacks etc. We plan on being there a long time and want to start off on a good footing. Campers, tents, trailers are fine, we just need to keep them neat looking as we do have neighbors, not close by but as you all know a small town is curious and will make sure to check on the new people. We want to fit in with the area not be a sore thumb.

The river is about 9 miles away offering the opportunity of fishing and fun. A real river not a drizzle of water called a river.

Like the hairdo? Get used to it the wind does blow here.

Nice grove of trees for a camp site

Discussions went on even in the motel room with help from Karen's monkeys, Bobby and Lilly the dog.

The front of the land is mostly pasture for about 85 acres which will make a good area for gardens and fruit orchard and the main buildings. The middle half has been logged and will have to be cleared of the underbrush with a bush hog and the very back is still in timber. A pine farm that can either be logged out or we can do it ourselves and build a small sawmill and make our own wood for construction and sale. That will have to be discussed by us all at a later date when we are all on the land and can have a good idea of what is needed and wanted. This back area is one we did not walk on as it was really thick but I would imagine those that really want privacy would find it a good site to build on plus the pines there are all about the same size which will make a good log home.

There is a abandoned County Road which goes along the east side of the property but it was so overgrown we didn't try to take the cars down there but with a bush hog it can be cleared fairly quickly as none of the growth is large, just weeds and small brush. There is also a gate in this area to make the land accessable from that road.

I don't intend to dictate what happens on this land, that will have to be determined by us all which will mean some heated discussions I would imagine. After the discussions we will have to have a vote and that will be final.

The final closing will be on Sept 25th after the place has been surveyed and the title searched. The financing was done by Jack and myself with the money from purchased leases plus a lot from our own accounts. This will have to be repaid as neither of us can afford to invest everything we own in this land.. It will cost more than a half a million dollars. !!! Scary isn't it? Scared the daylights out of me but when you think of your childrens future and the future of our country we all want a place we can live that is decent and without the struggles of trying to tame a desert with the worry of running out of water at some point and having to leave what we have worked for. This place is able to support us all and give us all room to expand and live peacefully and privately. There is another 5000 acres adjoining the site which can be purchased also from a different owner.

You will not be moving into a forlorn, unwanted piece of property like we were basicly looking at before but a well managed land that is lush and can be used for just about any use we wish whether growing crops such as wheat, garden produce or hay or fruit orchards. Pastures are in place but the fencing will have to be mended in several areas. One thing I must say is when I mentioned a fruit orchard the owner laughed and said we would have to fight the deer for the trees. That means some way of detering these roasts on the hoof( venison) from devouring our trees and gardens. I would think that a good fence would work maybe? Or maybe we will have hunting dogs which would patrol the area and keep it free of freeloaders on the hoof.

We need to sell at least another 60 acres to pay for this land. I am asking for you to do as much as you can to sell these sites to people you know and trust.

There will be other expenses as well so if we can sell more than that it will help us all and still give us lots of privacy without crowding each other after all there are over 600 acres on this site.

If this falls through I am done. I cannot honestly say that I could continue with all of the expense of traveling and energy expense to find and go through another site location. I have already spent a estimated $9,000 on this venture both in advertising, travel and purchases. I cannot do this again. I will not do this again. I am getting too old for all the aggravation and problems. Why anyone would take the large amount of time and energy to locate the land as they have done in the past and then research the owners and make calls etc is beyond me.

I urge you all to join us if you want to be able to grow your own food, decide for yourself if your child is vaccinated or not, decide for yourself if you want to be a part of the New World Order or keep your freedoms. We applaud the Texans who are fighting for sesession of Texas from the US and to bring back the Republic we were all a part of or so we thought.

As you may have noticed there is no mention of even the county we are buying property in, that is on purpose to keep the people who are determined to ruin this project at bay until we have the final papers in hand. We will not be giving out that information to anyone other than those that are actually joining us and have purchased their leases.

The leases are for 99 years at which time a deed will be issued to each family still on the land. The leases can be handed down to the heirs of the original lessees.

This is a opportunity to become part of the New USA which hopefully will change us back to a Republic and take back our country one county at the time. It can and will be done with people who are not slaves to the dollar and government hand outs.

If you have that dread in the back of your head all the time and wonder what you can do to protect your families and friends this is the way. There is safety in numbers, especially in the numbers of people who will stand up for their beliefs and not be forced into doing what is wrong for them and the nation. Civil disobedience is not bad but necessary at this time in our history.

Become a part of a community that will be producing it's own food, fuel, power and protect what is ours.
